In November 2006, Steve McKinney envisioned a banquet facility with versatility to service not only weddings and receptions, but smaller events as well. Having trouble finding a location for their daughter's baby shower, he came up with the idea of Field of Dreams Banquet Facility. The facility opened on July 7, 2007.
